Academy High Point Awards are given annually in each division
High Point Rules
Points are awarded in all qualifying classes at the May Classic and Kentucky State Championship Show on the following basis:
1st Place 8 points
2nd Place 7 points
3rd Place 6 points
4th Place 5 points
5th Place 4 points
6th Place 3 points
7th Place 2 points
8th Place 1 point
2nd Place 7 points
3rd Place 6 points
4th Place 5 points
5th Place 4 points
6th Place 3 points
7th Place 2 points
8th Place 1 point
Riders who exhibit at both shows in a calendar year are awarded 1 extra point
High Point Tie Breaking Policy
In the event of a High Point tie, the entry receiving the higher placement at the State Championship Show will break the tie. If neither entry has shown at the State Championship Show , the higher placement in the Championship class at the May Classic will break the tie.
